All of you had probably heard of Instant noodle, well not only heard, but have been consuming it since decades ago. Instant Bee Hoon is not that many in the market, and very seldom people consumed or bought instant bee hoon. Mostly they will just buy the bee hoon and cook it at home with all sorts of ingredients as favoured.

Kare, one brand of instant noodle in Indonesia that started up sometimes ago with their famous spicy noodles, has this instant bee hoon too. I tried it out, and they are really nice, just like the normal bee hoon that you have, only that it is much easier to prepare and faster.

Not long ago, in Ciputra Mall, opened the first franchised coffee shop in, that is Gloria Jeans Coffee. Yeah… finally there is some place to hang out or enjoy coffee nicely on, apart from kopitiam.

Another nearest source of Latte for me. But of course have to travel 20 minutes by plane or 4.5 hours by car. With this, I already felt like moving to Pekanbaru permanently. As if my dad had bought a house there sometimes ago, I could have already moved there and start up my business there. hehee

Es Campur in Indonesia is similar to ABC (Air Batu Campur) in Malaysia and Singapore. Only that it has more ingredients like jack fruit, jelly, grass jelly, syrup, milk, cendol, tapai, and all the other ingredients that I don’t really know what they called.

Its nice to be consumed on the mid day, especially if the day is super hot. Ice water or some ice desserts like this is what we normally enjoy to freshen up due to living in such a hot city. There weren’t much trees around, weren’t much plants along the road, and most of the forests has been converted to palm plantation, or housing areas.

Previously I have blogged about Top Wafer Chocolate which I favors a lot. Now, there is another premier who has been in the market much longer than Top. Its Beng Beng.

Its much smaller, stickier, and well… good enough for a light snack. They are always best consumed after stored in the fridge. If you left it out, it might get sticky and not really nice to enjoy. Thus, storing it in the fridge makes it crispier and nicer to enjoy.

Another great food from Pekanbaru, Indonesia. Seriously, I haven’t been eating pork outside of my home in Indonesia, apart from the fried kway tiaw from the only coffee shop that is selling non-halal food.

This is the first BBQ pork restaurant, or can we call it a home-restaurant, that I have ever been in Indonesia. Located in some small road, exactly in a house of the owner. The person who brought me there, mind to share the address? Thank you so much.
