What a boring Sunday. Nothing much to do apart from applying jobs, reading careers section of Saturday’s Strait Times and watch movies/TV.

This movie - Ungu Violet is an Indonesian movie which is screened in Indonesia and Malaysia last year. If I was not mistaken, it is around the middle of the year. Starred by the actress from the movie “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta” - Dian Sastrowardoyo and Rizky Hanggono. Its another love movie featuring a life of a bus-way ticket seller girl (Kalin) and a photographer (Lando). Kalin later on became a photo model and lastly become a famous advertisement model (It begins through the offer from Lando a photographer who must find a new model for his advertisement company). Prior to her success and in the start of her relationship with Lando, Lando had decided to end their relationship just like that. He didn’t tell her the cause till the end. He had a leukemia and won’t live long. From there on, the story continues on each person’s life and career. Although they are apart, they are both still have feelings towards each other and waiting for the true answer to their love.

Anyway, the ending is sad and Kalin has lost her best loved people in her life (her granny, and her lover - Lando). Sad sad sad movie. But nice to watch also. Romantic. Check out the official website here.

Feeling bored, I decided to watch some movie at home. I watch this Singapore movie called One More Chance. It seems to be a movie from September last year. I’m quite outdated though. haha Btw, the chinese title for this is “San3 Ge4 Hao3 Ren2″ Which means The Three Good Person. This movie is directed by the famous local director Jack Neo. He had directed lots of nice movie about life in Singapore and how to overcome it. All give good teaching and meaning to the viewers.

This movie called One More Chance is a movie about a life of three ex-convicted person who have to go through hard times in turning into a new life. Almost half of the movie focussed on the life in prison here. As usual, the hokkien languages always creates laughter. Life for the three seems really hard after released from the prison. Some can’t get rid of their bad habit and get jailed again in the end.

The ending of the movie is nice as everyone can go through some obstacle and their life started to be smooth. A good watch and it gives us a lesson to learn. Be true to yourself and everyone. Don’t cheat or do bad stuffs in this life, cos you will get the punishment one day if you do. Any obstacle or hard time that you experience, just work hard to fight it and you will in the end overcome it. There will be ups and downs in this life, so be strong and overcome it.

Wahh what a tiring day today. Woke up early morning to follow my auntie and uncle to sell cooking pan at Bedok area in Singapore. It was early in the morning around 6 am where everyone started to go for work and some are preparing to open up their stalls and shops.

While looking at people setting up their stalls and opening up their stores, I saw this bread delivery guy who came to this mini market, check the amount of bread left from yesterday, took out a ‘PDA’ from his waist bag and jot down the amount and then exchange the old bread with new one. I was like, wooooahhhhhh the bread delivery guy is already using such a high tech stuffs? Unbelievable. But its true.

Well, back to the main title today. Its the Hill Street fried kway tiao. Since I happen to be at Bedok’s market, for lunch I went and tried this kway tiao. I saw few newspaper cutting posted on the screen and thought that it must be really famous. My auntie told that it will take quite sometime for the kway tiao to be fried. From what I observed, they cook the ingredients separately, put into a big bowl, and in the end, will mix all of them based on the size of dishes.

So, what is the outcome of the kway tiao? Its quite wet and not as dry as the normal kway tiao. That makes it nicer to eat. The ingredients? It has Lap Cheong (pork saussage), salted fried pig skin, prawn and egg. Nice isn’t it? It is quite spicy though, but just great when you eat a little.

So, if you happen to drop by Bedok area in Singapore, go look for this kway tiao shop. Too bad I couldn’t get any picture of it. No bluetooth dongle yet here.
