So, this weekend started with me going all the way to Orchard Road for late lunch and wondering around again. Self adventure/lone ranger. It is fun you know. So, took lunch at Subway. Then head over to Nge Ann City. I noticed some event is going on outside of it. So I dropped by and took some pictures of it. I think this event is in conjuction with coming Wesak Day. There are lots of stalls set up by charity people selling foods and drinks, souvenirs, free books and DVDs on Buddhism and some are having games with prices. Just like a big bazaar in the middle of the city.
So, what is this “Project Million Lotus”? Its a charity project welcoming everyone to take part in contributing by making lotus out of papers provided and all of it will be put on decoration just as the those at the pictures below. At the time I am there, the lotus count has reach over 2 million. Nice decoration isn’t it?

Apart from the lotus decoration, there is a big golden Buddha statue and some small statues which to let people pour water over the body like the one at the right picture above. I am not sure of the purpose though. Furthermore, there is some singing, band performance, talent-show at the other side of the tent. Very interesting talent were shown and I stand there for quite awhile watching the show. I wish I have a digicam at that time, so I can record everything of it and took better pictures of the events. hehe
