Well, noticed that some friends have already graduated and deciding their career path. Some have started to come over to Singapore to challenge their skills to the network here.

So, let me share some information that you can obtained as a Degree holder who is seeking employment in Singapore. On your first entry to Singapore, you normally will be given 14 days of Social Visit pass or 30 days. I believe it is not enough for you to stay here until you secure a job, unless you are so lucky. So, for degree holder or proffesional qualified people, you can actually apply for EPEC (Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate). This certificate qualifies you to 12 months visa upon application with the Singapore’s ICA (Immmigration & Checkpoints Authority). You will be also issued a green card which will be used for entry and exit from Singapore.

What are the requirements for EPEC?

The following documents must be submitted to Contact Singapore to process your EPEC application :

* A copy of duly completed Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate Application Form here.
* A copy each of all the applicant’s academic and transcripts/marksheets (Translated into English if they are in other languages);
* A copy each of all the applicant’s professional qualifications (Translated into English if they are in other languages);
* 1 recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant taken within the last three months;
* A copy of the Passport/Travel Document page showing the applicant’s personal particulars.
* Letter from the University is required if applicant is taking a twinning programme at a local institution

With effect from 15th Oct 06, applicants should :
-use the new EPEC Application form downloadable from the MoM website;
-submit verified true copies of all the applicant’s academic transcripts/marksheets (Translated into English if they are in other languages)

How long?
