Hello folks, its been awhile since I blog something here. Been pretty busy here lately and facing lots of problems. So, couldn’t get myself a time to blog and finish uploading these pictures of foods I tried through out the weekend.

Its Ayam Bakar Ojolali - a newly opened Indonesian restaurant in Lucky Plaza, Singapore. Located at the third Storey. Actually not so newly opened, it was already opened for more than 1 month roughly.

Ojolali is Javanese words and it means don’t forget.

Had eaten there for more than 5 times now, and I found their foods are much nicer and better variety. It will be another new dining place for every Friday or weekend.

So, now in Lucky plaza there are already 4 Indonesian restaurants: Resto Surabaya @ Lvl 2, Ayam bakar Ojolali @ lvl 3, Ayam Penyet Ria @ lvl 4, and Kantin Aneka @ lvl 6. We always joke that we shall open one more Indonesian restaurant at level 5 or level 1, so each floor will have one Indonesian restaurant. But that is just a joke. The capital needed is really big.

Back to the food. The main menu is Barbeque Chicken Rice. Its not bad, just right and not too sweet.

And the side dishes of my favourites out of most Indonesian food is: Gado Gado which is a mixed vegetables with peanut sauce on top with some crackers.

Gado-Gado

And finally the favourite drinks of most Indonesian: Avocado Juice (Jus Alpukat)

The rest I have tried were Ojolali Fried Chicken, Nasi Gudek (Young jackfruit flesh and coconut milk stew served with boiled egg and choice of beef or chicken with steam rice), Bakmi Ayam (Chicken Noodle) and the drinks that is special: Es Ojolali (Sliced coconut with coconut water mixed with red syrup and nata de coco).

The pictures? See them all here.

Till the next food post… :p

What a weekend. Its now Monday again. A long week again to go. Will be very occupied this week, and last Friday is the most hectic day I have ever gone through. Went off from office at 8.00pm as the second last person. It is my first time to leave this late. Its all because of that one big case that requested last minute support. Which is not efficient for Friday and they have to faced weekend. Well, that is another thing which I should not bother too much.

Had a great Saturday afternoon working out in Body Combat class. Enjoyed it really much, had a few body aches which I haven’t experience for quite sometime. This is good. Then had brunch at Ojolali again. Stay tuned for review about Ojolali with few range of foods from it that I have tested. With pictures of course.

Sunday was spent going around too and have a nice relaxing Sunday. Reached home quite late, took shower and head off to bed. No chance to upload pictures yet. So, food post will be delayed till I have time. hoho

I enjoyed my Saturday night drinking white wine while lazying on the sofa in the living room, watching TV. Its been sometime since I am able to relax like this. Love it. So, its Monday. Better get my ass keep on moving and finish all the work before it gets delayed. And head off for body combat class again hopefully. Have a nice Monday and week ahead.

Yeah, Thank God Its Friday now. This week passed so slow. I don’t know why, but it seems really slow and very boring. But after all, its now Friday. Love it love it love it. So tonight will have planned dinner @ Ojolali BBQ Chicken restaurant @ Lucky Plaza. A newly opened Indonesian restaurant. I’ve been there twice, but no chance to take pictures of the food and make review of it. Perhaps today will be. Be prepared to get salivating looking at the pictures of the foods later on.

Had an enough sleep last night I think, as I woke up just 1 second before the alarm rang. So, whats for the weekend? Body combat of course for Saturday and Sunday perhaps. Then meet up with this financial planner who have got my contact from dunno where, an settle it up with him of what services his company provide. Listening to new things can never be a waste though.

Might be going to Kwan Im Temple at Bugis for prayer and groceries shopping as my food stock has ran out. Seems like lots of things to be done through out the weekend. hohohoo And taking more and more pictures.

So, enjoy your weekend and Friday night out ya. TGIF!!

A bit rant from Friday morning: Damn ya fcuking reseller! We upgrade you new stuffs, now you bombard me with all sorts of problem which might be silly mistake of yours. Period!!

Okay done. Its Friday, enough of ranting. Back to work.

Everything that we do, in order to enjoy it and reach its goal, we will need to be determined with it or has passion in it. Lets take a break from those pictures and food blogs.

I have found that the job I am in right now, at times I will feel bored of it, bored of doing the same thing over and over again and also facing various kinds of problems. At times I will feel that this kind of job is really satisfying and challenging. Here, I have not full passion yet. I wish I could. Is it true that way?

Yesterday, at gym, I was surprised looking at a lady who joined gym not long ago. She used to have flabby arms and stomach, and we always saw her doing the boxing training with one of the personal trainer and my friend added that she used to join every classes held at the gym. Its been 1-2 months now, and what she had achieved? No change at all? Nope. She is totally changed. Her arm is no longer flabby and stomach is now flat. She had lost weight, gained strength and stamina. Salute to that lady. I wish I could, but I am just not too passionate about most of the things I do. It used to be very shaky at times, just like at times I am so desperate about it and at times I felt so bored of it.

Do you believe in having passion and determination in whaterver you do, you can able to live with it long and also achieve the goal? I believe too. Problem is to get full passion or real determination and also the most important thing “hardwork” is hard to come by most of the time. For example, I have been planning to get myself CCNA certified since December last year, and up till now, no progress is done. How am I going to get it without any effort and passion?

Another example, I have been telling myself that I should move out somewhere nearer to office or town after my job is confirmed and stable, so I can start a new life being independent again. But there is no process at all.

I must get going on my plan and put in more efforts in all my doings. Just another expressions and thoughts from me. Not in a good mood today. A little messed up.

Apart from good food, I did enjoy the movie I had that Saturday night in Malacca. We watched Click by Adam Sandler. The wife Kate Beckinsale is just so.. gorgeous and sexy. A little bit of spoiler here. So beware.

This movie is about Adam Sandler who is always messed up with the remote controls in his house. As there are lots of them, he couldn’t get it right everytime he wanted to turn on something. Like when he wanted to turn on the TV, he needs to try a few remote control in order to get to the correct one. As he feds up with this and his life, he decided to go out and look for a universal remote control just like what his neighbour is having which can control every single thing at home.

The story starts from there. He learnt a lot of things from there and met some bad part of his. Basically, this movie is full of humour from the beginning. But towards the end, on the hard time of Adam’s life, it is just too sad to watch. But, we learned something from there. Message from the movie is: Whatever you do, you can’t skip it even if you don’t like it. You will have to get through it and find you own way out for it. There can never be a short cut for things that you do. And the last thing is: “Family always come first”. Whatever you do or encounter at work which might colides with your plan with your family or something else that affects the family, you will have to always put your family as the main priority. You will know what I meant when you watch this movie.

It features the lifestyle of human nowadays and also what it will be in the future. The life of how hectic an employee who live beside a wealthy neighbour and had to strive hard to support his family’s needs.

I had a really good laugh through out the movie and in the end, it is good ending too. Worth to watch to relieve stress and boredom. Also to enlighten us a little bit of what we are doing in this rat race world.

Check out the official website at Sony Pictures.

Oh ya… there is one thing funny about his dog in the movie that you can never forget. Bwahahhaa Pity the orange duck’s doll which is always played by the dog. I bet you will laugh all your way. Psst… kids just watch and don’t ask why.
