Took few night shots with my newly bought Canon IXUS 65 at Orchard Road and here are some to share with you all. It might not turn out that pretty well balanced and perfect though, still learning and gotta improve it more. I have few other shots which turned out totally bad. Still adjusting to the functions and which ISO and mode to use.

Well, that’s all folks. Some are not for display and some are really that bad. hohoho Anyway, today is public holiday - Singapore’s National Day, and its a nice thing to have a holiday at the middle of the week. Left two more days to weekend. More pics coming. Stay tuned.

hoho What to adjust bro? I think I must spend more time to read things about ISO and shutter speed things. Cos, I have some pictures with high ISO and it turned out so noisy. Failed attempt. hoho

Best tip my camerashop lengjai taught me - Stick to the programmes! Nigth mode for dark places, P for normal lights. Hohohoho. And when you are taking shots of bright and dark places (a mixture), point your camera to the dark side first, hold the shutter release button midway then keep holding it, don’t let go and find what you want to frame then only thiak! This way, your camera capture and adjust the settings for dark places. And lenjai also said - Don’t get fooled with all those ISO numbers. He said anything above 200 is going be noisy, in any type of camera. Those cameras which boast of high ISO like 1600 are just marketing gimmick. Kehkehekheh

for most compact cameras, the use of higher ISO is normally when there’s not enuf light. unfortunately, higher ISO = more noise. use the scene modes, the camera will set everything for u, best thing to get some nice night shots
and if u’r using slow shutter speed, best to get a tripod to avoid any shaky effect

Thanks for the tips oliviasy. I might consider to get a mini tripod soon for better night shots.
