Okay, continue from the Malacca trip post. Today I will talk about the Teo Chew Bak Kut Teh which I favour in Malacca. Its been our regular bak kut teh restaurant everytime we dropped by Malacca. Its just at the opposite of the hotel that my family used to stay while in Malacca. Very convenient and price wise is okay. Wanna know where it is? Its in front of Comfort Hotel. Dunno what is the exact road name though, but I remember it is Jalan Melaka Raya 10 maybe. Will confirm that again later. Very near to Mahkota Parade. Within walking distance.

So, I had this great bak kut teh for my brunch on Sunday morning. Enjoyed it very much. It taste nice, ingredients I love it. Love the yam rice too. Had two bowls of it. and of course with lots of garlic. Found out that they are selling the bak kut teh powder now. So, I bought one packet to try.

Check out the pictures from Bak Kut teh below at the gallery. Click on the picture to go to the gallery.

On the Saturday night, after a movie “Click”, we decided to go for supper at Ban Lee Siang Satay Celup which is located at Jalan Ong Kim Wee near the central of Malacca. It costs RM 0.50 per stick. It is one of the famous one in Malacca apart from the other one named Capitol Satay somewhere near the Red House area. I prefer this one as it is more spicy and fresh.

I had 20 sticks of satay and a glass of chinese tea. Yummy… I am getting bigger tummy again now. hahaha Supper is bad. So, went back to hotel after supper and sleep. hoho Pictures of Satay celup can be seen at the same album above too. Click on the Bak Kut Teh picture above to see it all.

To be continue…

Weeeee… I am back to Singapore again. Been away to Malaysia for the weekend. Lots of things to share. I did actually blog in Nilai on Saturday morning, but forgotten that the college’s server might dissapoint me. After I finished the blog and submit it, the page gets reset, connection lost. There goes the post of mine. Sigh, but never mind, I will update it here. Lotsa nice pics coming up soon, which will make you all drool and your stomach groaning. ohoho

So, departed alone from Singapore after great dinner at Ojolali (lucky plaza); gotta make review bout this restaurant soon. Reached JB around 11.30, tried KTM, all full. Then go to Larkin, trying my luck to get bus. It surprised me that night that there are lots of people. I am thinking that I might not get a bus ticket at all due to these crowds. Luckily I got myself one at 12.00am. A very expensive one (RM 35), reached Seremban at 4.30am, and ended up taking taxi to Nilai (a very expensive one too RM 30). And I almost got myself driven to KL because the call from the driver was not heard by me. Why? Because of the song from Ada Band - Setengah Hati. It was too calming and relaxing, till I got myself in a deep sleep. hoho Luckily I got aware and got myself out of the bus before it departs to KL. wohooo Reached at 5.00am, my friend still awake packing things, so I do pack some of my things as well and throw away some useless stuffs. Had supper err I mean Breakfast at 6.30am, and sleep at 7.00am. woohooo fun.

But due to drinking teh tarik, I couldn’t get a deep sleep. Sigh. Woke up at 9.30am and continue packing.

So, there is one experience I would like to share here. While waiting for bus to come in JB, I walk around the area. Then there is one Ah-Beng who follow me from behind and suddenly a conversation started as follows:

Ah-Beng: Peng Yo… peng yoo… can help me or not? (*peng yo = friend)

Me: *Ignore ignore and keep on walking

Ah-Beng: Peng yo… weiii peng yo… can help me? I need to borrow money…

Me: *Ignore ignore, walk faster and in my mind: Damn, as expected. I am in danger!!

Ah-Beng: Peng yo… can borrow me money or not? I need to take back my motorcycle. It was kept by the police.

Me: *Ignore ignore again pretend not hearing

Ah-Beng: Wah lauu ee peng yo… we chinese people must help each other one lerr brother.. dun be like that lar… help me lar… RM 17 only… please, I need to get back my motor. My license and motorcycle document I give you keep, you give me money. Can or not?

Me: *Damn!!! I am in danger. Looking around for people to help if anything happen. I replied: “Hm… I can’t help you. Sorry”

Ah-Beng: Please lerr peng yo….

Me: Fcuk ya!! I am not your friend, who da fcuk are ya? (of course la not reply like that, else I kena kill already). I actually replied: “Sorry, I really can’t help you, I am not from around here. Could you please go and find some other person to help you?”

Ah-beng: Wa lauu eee… (walk away)

Me: Fiuhhh I am saved. Now where is the bus?? Am I being conned by the ticket seller? Shit, I need to find the bus ticket seller again.

So, there was one experience. Keep cool when facing this kind of people.

Back to the trip. After I pack all my stuffs, found a lorry (Damn, its expensive. RM 240 for a lorry to Malacca), got back my bicycle with a lock from the thief (asked the maintenance people in college to cut it off and yayy it is done, I got my bike back fully), and depart to Malacca in a non-aircon lorry. Sighh it was so hot and stuffy.

Reached Malacca and the journey begins there. Stay tuned for the update and some pictures.

Thank God, Its finally Friday. This week has been quite stressfull and lots of things to do at work. Indonesia’s Independence day just passed yesterdday. Today will be another hectic day for me at work, as I am struggling with the mail server here and wondering why are the customers not replying. Either there is problem with the e-mail that I sent does not reach their side, or their e-mail does not reach my side or they just too lazy to reply. I hope its the third possibility.

Since I can’t go down to Malaysia last week due to emergency unwellness, I have decided to go down today after dinner. But, I won’t think I can make it to KL to meet up with friends and all. It is because I will have to pack some of my things on Saturday morning, took it all to Malacca by noon to be sent back to Indonesia, and it should be hard for me to go back to KL again. I was thinking that I should take rest in Malacca, and enjoy the evening and day there and stay in our regular hotel for a night.

Some solo adventure and enjoyment around Malacca can be fun. Will take lotsa pictures for sure. And might try to check if there is any friends left and available when I am in Malacca this time, so might be able to meet them up for some drinks. But, thats all depends on what turn out to be later. The plan in my head is no other than Jonker Walk, Satay Celup, Teochew Bak Kut Teh and Mahkota Parade and perhaps the Nyonya cendol that we always had after school last time.

Cheers. Its Friday and its time to enjoy your hardwork throughout the weekend.

Merdeka! Selamat Ulang Tahun Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia yang ke 61! Dirgahayu Kemerdekaan Indonesia yg ke 61! Happy Birthday Indonesia!

A piece of thought and expression to celebrate this National Day of Indonesia. I almost forgot that today is 17th August, until I read the newspaper saying some Bali bombing prisonners are given some cut down on their sentence and one of the prisonner was released today. It is the routine every year that prisoners are given cut down on their sentence based on their behaviour in the prison. Some mercy is given. Hope they really changed.

Here is a quote of one of the song that is sang on the 17th August every year at every marching or assembly:

Tujuh belas Agustus tahun empat lima, itulah hari kemerdekaan kita, hari merdekaa.. nusa dan bangsa.. hari lahirnya bangsa Indonesiaa… Merdeeekaa! Skali merdeka tetap merdekaa.. selamat hayat masih di kandung badan. Kita tetap setia, tetap sedia mempertahankan Indonesiaa.. kita tetap setia, tetap sedia membela negara kita…

Merdeka! :p

Jadi rindu ma rumah nich… hikz.. I want to go homee…. I miss home soo soo soo much….
