Dream or Was it Wishes? J.CO Craving

There was one thing that came to my mind when thinking of these 2 years living in Singapore. Its been 2 years now. Yeah… time passed really fast.

When the first time I came to Singapore, I was consider fat and unhealthy after the long holiday and lazy time after college. Before then, I am already fat and lazy to exercise. That time what interest me is only to play water polo and a light swimming. It became worst during my final year that I have to focus most of my time in the project.

So, I weight about 84 kg during that period of time. After graduation ceremony, I came to Singapore to look for job. The first four month got me trying to work out in the park by having morning jog and protein rich meals. I started to buy Men’s Health magazine every month till now. That is one of the source of my motivation and learning to live healthy.

Four months then, I found a job and started working. By then, I already manage to lost 1-2 Kgs. The first few weeks of working caught me stressed up a lot and can’t handle it much. Due to that, I lost some weight from it. After about 1 month working, I decided to start up gym at Fitness First Paragon which I have already signed up 1 month earlier during the roadshow.

The moment I started my regular post-work exercise at gym, I can handle stress better and manage to live healthier since then. I started to control my diet, cut down totally on KFC, Mc Donalds and all fast foods. I will go for more vegetables diet and still have meat though, but on lunch. There was also a period of time at which I do not have dinner except Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I will only have Protein shake after every workout. Of course I will try to have pre-work out meal, which will be enough to cover me up till night time.

I am able to survive through it and lost totally up to 10 Kgs after 4-6 months of gym. From there on, its a maintenance till now. I have not able to loose more weight since then, perhaps because I go easy on my diet and did lesser weight. But, there do some changes I got from regular exercises. My body slowly toned up, although the weight did not change. Perhaps it is because of some fat loss and more muscle gain.

For now, I did mostly on Body combats classes every week. Minimum of 3 body combat classes per week on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Extra will be Friday and Sunday. Tuesday will be weight training day, or break. Thursday will be swimming day. Some Friday will be spent for dinner, or Body Pump class. So Friday is the most flexible day. :)

I am still trying to fit these into the schedule every week without fail. And of course to control my appetite during weekdays and weekend. I tend ot have bigger appetite lately, no idea why. At least I should control it strictly during weekdays and give some slack time on weekend. One goal has been set for the new year. At least till coming Chinese New Year in early February, I could shape up better and have better stamina and fitness level. :)

I will post the picture of me before and after someday to show some results I got from this hardwork and determination. I think the environment does matters a lot. Singapore is the place that helped me a lot. I love living here due to the cleanliness and the passion for sports that most of the people had here. Its nice to have this feeling. And another aspects of life here in Singapore that helped a lot is the availability of the options to eat healthy. That is one big help.

The best quote from Fitness First that you will always see it in your member card is “Motivation is what gets you started, habit is what keeps you going”. If you haven’t check it out, do check out your gym member card for one if there are any. It helps to motivate too at times. :) Cheers… happy working out.

How does your healthy living plan going on lately?

IT TAKES A FEW HOURS AND MOST OF THE TIME THE CLASSES FLY BY,BUT THE WORKOUTS IN THE GYM ALWAYS SEEM TO DRAG,I THINK ITS BECAUSE WHEN IM IN A CLASS ITS MORE FUN AND THERE ON ONE STRAIGHT AFTER ANOTHER,SO BEFORE YOU KNOW YOU HAVE DONE 2 OR 3.

wow, amazing. :) I have never been able to take few classes straight. Must improve my stamina and of course have the time for it. Normally after a class of body combat, we already too tired to go for any other exercise. :)

you will be amazed what you can do,im only an amature not trained in any way at all ,i do put all my energy into my classes,i have 3 kids that keep me active, but if you push your self that little bit more your body just does what ever you want it to,i do believe that its all in your head,if you tell your self you cant do any more or your getting tired then you will, next time you do a body combat class stay for the class after,i bet you feel the same as you would if you never done that class,or even better than you have ever felt before,i get a great big burst of energy afterwards, good luck and believe that you can do it and there is more let in you.
