The other day, I was on the bus from a data center to Orchard road for gym. It was raining heavily then, and I boarded on a double decker bus. Being bored through out the long journey, I try to enjoy the scenery from the top, although it is not that clear due to the heavy rain.

When reaching River Valley road, the bus stopped right on the traffic light, and I saw this road. Kay Poh road. Kay Poh in hokkien means talkative, or in the worst meaning: busy body. Example: “Just let them do their own work. Why would you be so kay poh to help them look for what they want.”

Immediately, I took out my Ixus 65, and snap away. Too bad I was quite a distance away and the view was blurred by the rain drops residue on the bus window.

Should make productive use of my camera more nowadays. I have not been snapping away often lately. Just lazy to do so and still craving for a DSLR. Maybe I should lower my expectation and go for prosumer instead.

Holiday is not far from here onwards, its about 1 week to go before Hari Raya Haji which follows by Christmas soon after that.

Have been doing the new release of Body Combat 34 for almost 2 weeks now (this is the second week) and I am liking it so much now. I felt stronger by doing this release and there are plenty of shuffle in this release. Most of the moves are in high counts and they are really blasting. Love it. You will need to move fast in this release as some moves were testing your quick response.

Oh ya, there are plenty of speed balls. Loving it…. My arms feel so great after doing the full tracks. I feel so powerful. But really, this release is pushing you up to your max level of intensity exercise. what you all feel about it? With more speed balls, I feel like getting the speedball equipment for myself already.

Its been awhile since I had J.CO donuts and I am missing it already. Singapore’s franchise is not open yet. Malaysia has opened both its branches I guess, one at Pavillion Bukit Bintang, and another at Sunway Pyramid 2. Sunway Pyramid 2 J.CO is still under renovation the last time I went there.

I can’t wait for coming 19th December for my J.CO to arrive from Batam. :) I hope I have the chance to have it again soon. Btw, checked out the Donut Factory - “which started up as the famous donut store in Singapore” - yesterday at Suntec City Mall. There wasn’t a long queue at that time compare to other time, almost went to try it out and get a half-dozen for my cravings. Maybe I should give them a try one day. Just checked out their website now, it is saying that an advanced ordering system is being developed. Cool. People might not have to queue long for their donuts now and I believe this will be one of their winning point.

I have tried on Munchy Donuts, they just winning my heart on my first visit. Worst, when you just bought half a dozen, they pack the doughnuts in a plastic box which you will get when you purchase some traditional cakes and pastries from the market. And when asked about it, they just said they ran out of box. What an excuse. There are still plenty of boxes available. And what? one of the cashier is just so impolite to repeat one of my friend’s accent when talking about the donuts selection. Luckily she doesn’t noticed it and I am the only one noticed it. Its the biggest drop off point for the first and one time customer. If I meet the same again, I will not hesitate to do it the Singapore way. You know what I’m saying. ;)

And to add on, one from Malaysia that caught my attention is the “Big apple Donuts and Coffee”. Similar logo, similar donuts, similar name, similar packaging, even exactly same words and pictures on the storage and microwave instructions on the box. To whom? You know yourself. Have not had the chance to check it out as it was too far @ The Curve Mutiara Damansara. Maybe next time.

Recently due to the donuts crave around Singapore, I can see that most, well actually almost all of the bakeries were selling their own donuts varieties as well. Ranging from mini donuts, fruits toppings and many more. Furthermore, they have challenging pricing too, not much cheaper than the other premium donuts store. And slowly, more and more brands of donuts are coming up. Some even have the same donuts flavor and similar naming as J.CO donuts. What a world without a replica isn’t it? Everywhere you can see the same.

Hm.. what’s with donuts anyway? I have no idea. Maybe because people are following the trend. At times when I saw people queuing for their donuts and some carrying boxes of donuts around, I told them silently inside my heart: Fat fat fat! You are so.. gonna be fat. :P So evil of me.

Just to add up more, if you are wondering where to get J.CO donuts nearest to you (apply to Singapore only), go to Mega Mall Batam Center at Batam Island - Indonesia, and you will get your cravings easily. But be ready to pay the average SGD 40 for the two-way trip. :p Just kidding. I mean you can look for it if you happened to be around. Phone: (0778) 470 507

:) Happy J.CO-ing.. err… donut-ing?

There was one thing that came to my mind when thinking of these 2 years living in Singapore. Its been 2 years now. Yeah… time passed really fast.

When the first time I came to Singapore, I was consider fat and unhealthy after the long holiday and lazy time after college. Before then, I am already fat and lazy to exercise. That time what interest me is only to play water polo and a light swimming. It became worst during my final year that I have to focus most of my time in the project.

So, I weight about 84 kg during that period of time. After graduation ceremony, I came to Singapore to look for job. The first four month got me trying to work out in the park by having morning jog and protein rich meals. I started to buy Men’s Health magazine every month till now. That is one of the source of my motivation and learning to live healthy.

Four months then, I found a job and started working. By then, I already manage to lost 1-2 Kgs. The first few weeks of working caught me stressed up a lot and can’t handle it much. Due to that, I lost some weight from it. After about 1 month working, I decided to start up gym at Fitness First Paragon which I have already signed up 1 month earlier during the roadshow.

The moment I started my regular post-work exercise at gym, I can handle stress better and manage to live healthier since then. I started to control my diet, cut down totally on KFC, Mc Donalds and all fast foods. I will go for more vegetables diet and still have meat though, but on lunch. There was also a period of time at which I do not have dinner except Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I will only have Protein shake after every workout. Of course I will try to have pre-work out meal, which will be enough to cover me up till night time.

Been dreaming very often for the past few weeks, and out of the mood to do things. Thus some tasks are on hold currently and makes me feel that time can never be enough. Holiday season is coming and wish list is piling up. But for current situation, I might not be able to fulfill all at once.

Been thinking of what I need to plan if I were to go back next year. Things that I came across are to get CardioWave machine from Technogym, a stationary bike, weight equipments, and a 500 GB / 1 TB external HDD for backup. Plenty isn’t it? That’s not all of course. Another few things that I wished for of course is an iPod nano/classic/touch/iPhone and a DSLR which I have been wanting to get for so long.

Crazy huh? Anyway its just a dream. A cardiowave machine itself could cost me a fortune. So, I think cardiowave is already out of the list as it is impossible, until I have become a tycoon. :P A stationary bike seems possible, best if I could get it second hand from the gym. As I remember there was once they are selling it off when replacing with a new one. An external HDD is for sure to get next year. It is really helpful for me, and perhaps for what I might be doing in the coming years.

An iPod? Hm… I just wished for a nano now as it could actually brought you a video and mp3s now. Plus it is small in size. A DSLR? It will depends on how I save and how I really need or make full use of it. For this particular thing, it will be hard to decide. Once you step over, it is hard to turn back. More and more poison and money you would spend for it.

Oh ya, I also wish for another small Crumpler bag for going around, as my current Crumpler messenger bag is just too heavy to carry everyday. :P And if I were to get a DSLR, a 7 Million Dollar Home Crumpler bag will be needed. :P

Okay, enough of dreaming. Back to the reality. Back to work.

Just for the fun of it. :) hohoho This is what you always do when holiday season is coming, especially when Christmas is about to come right? Anyone want to help me fulfill these dreams?
