Chocolate Cake Crystal Jade Korean BBQ Restaurant

Finally I have the chance to visit Singapore’s J.CO Donuts and Coffee branch. The first branch in Singapore which is at Raffles City shopping mall. Took few pictures of it, have a cuppa there and take away half dozen of donuts.

Donuts taste similar, although it might seems a little messy as some staffs are not highly skilled yet. Even I found the baristas to be very slow and they can’t do multitasking. Got me standing in front of the cashier for few minutes until they do bother taking orders.

And sadly all chocolate drinks were not available, maybe they ran out of the chocolate. Sigh… So dunno what I ordered that time, sounds like caramel latte. Its too sweet. Poor baristas. Do improve please and take passion in the drink preparation.

Apart from it, I was not given the glazzy donuts along with my drinks. And with my experience of knowing J.CO’s tradition of providing glazzy donuts with drinks, I asked the other baristas and they happily provide it for me. So, this is what they must learn and take note of.

The Glazzy donuts is still great as always and nice to be enjoyed with a cup of coffee. The place is quite cramped up from what I see. The counter, the machines, the walkway, the table and chairs. All cramped up in a little space they have. They should get a bigger place for more pleasure and comfort for customers who are dining in.

And one thing, the stomping sound of the bakers punching on a bag of dunno what thing does really make the place so noisy. Anyway, I like their creativity. The table that has some quotes based on their donuts, and the queue that is not that long, yet moving really fast. That’s what you want isn’t it?

Anyway, thanks that J.CO is around and we can enjoy it anytime we wish or miss it. But its more expensive than the one in Indonesia of course, perhaps following the market price and the higher price of the flours and rental. :)

J.CO is the best. And they have very interesting way of marketing and managing the orders and queues. Love it. It does affect the Donut Factory’s queue really. Go check it out at Raffles City Basement, right in front of the water fountain. The moment you walk down to the basement you can already smell the J.CO smell. It will be very easy to find. Just follow your instinct. :)

Check out all the other shots I took from J.CO Donuts and Coffee Raffles City Singapore below…

Prices for the donuts:

  • Glazy donuts half dozen = SGD 6
  • Assorted donuts half dozen = SGD 7
