Get Married, an Indonesian movie featuring Nirina Zubir, Aming, Ringgo Agus Rahman, Desta “Clubeighties”, Richard Kevin, Meriam Bellina, Jaja Mihardja, and Inggrid Widjanarko.
Its a story about four kids who were born at the same time in a small village in central Jakarta. They were born good with the proper education till high school. There are three guys and one girl. They are: Mae (Nirina Zubir), Guntoro (Desta Club Eighties), Eman (Aming), dan Beni (Ringgo Agus Rahman). Mae is the only one that gets through to the university and graduated. But all four of them ended up as unemployed and spend their daily lives hanging around in their village. They all grown up together, but due to the poor family and lack of opportunities, they do not get any job. Each of them have their own dream, but what they are pursuing is different from their dream. Yet, the dream never gets fulfilled. Each of them wants to be sailor, boxer, policewoman, and politician.
It was then Mae (Nirina Zubir)’s parents decides to get her married as soon as possible, so they no longer have to worry about her. Mae is a tomboy girl, thus she does not have anyone interested in her so far. Until her parents go and look for guys around the village to introduce to her. The parents then dressed her up like a real woman and introduce to a few guys at a different time. Unfortunately all of them does not suit her and got threatened out by her friends which Mae’s have already planned with.
It was then till this rich guy Rendy (Richard Kevin) from the neighboring housing area who got interested to find out more about her. The story then continue further from here, with the guy visited her house and introduce himself to her family and met her up. Sadly, her other three friends got it mistaken that she rejected this guy, so they beat him up and forced him to never come back again. Mae then decided to get married with one of her three buddies as required by her mom. Mae’s mom was ill and have to be brought to hospital. Until Mae’s found who is her friend she is going to marry with, then her mother got well very fast. And on the wedding day, there was a fightings happening on her village amongst villagers and the neighboring residents. On the fights, Mae met Rendy again and blah blah blah… do you want to know more? Watch it then. I can’t be telling all the story here and it will be a spoiler now isn’t it? 
Anyway, its a nice movie and from here we can have a look at how lives in Jakarta - a metropolitan city in Indonesia - looked like. Upper level and lower level environment and people who live side by side, but with a exclusion from each other with barriers. Rich housing areas were full of high walls separating it from the poor village.

ahahhaa It shows a lot of bad tradition. Actually it is good to remind people out there to see how their life is like in Indonesian and hope they can change for good.
