The Roti Prata House @ Upper Thomson is one of the top mamak place and the only place I have been that served almost everything that we have been missing eversince we came to Singapore.

After living for more than 5 years in Malaysia that makes us go for mamak food from time to time, especially for supper, and when in Singapore, with limited transportation and not easily accessible mamak stall around the residential areas, we then have not enjoyed mamak foods for sometimes.

The Menu

I have known this Roti Prata House for quite sometimes from friends who have invited me along sometimes, but couldn’t make it. This time around, before leaving Singapore for good, I made it there with a group of friends after gym. It was the best. I love their foods and they do really taste nice.

The Fried Chicken

The fried chicken is okay for me, still prefer Tandoori over it.

And here is the Kampong Fried Rice which most of us like it…

The okay fried noodle, well… its quite oily actually.. don’t really like it.

And here comes the main dish.. the roti Prata, or what they called it in Malaysia as Roti Canai…

This is the plain roti Prata

The curry for the additional taste, to be mixed with the roti prata…

And this is one of my favorite, called roti planta… which is roti prata with planta (margarine).

And lastly, to show you more on the roti Prata that we had….

There goes our hard work at gym for that night… :P

This note probably comes too late, but if Thomson is accessible to you, there’s always the Prata Place with its crispy prata… it’s more of a Singaporean variety than a Malaysian one - a delicious one, too: More a biscuit than a bread in texture.

ic. Thanks so much for the info Cloudsters. Things can never be too late. There are still chances to go to SG to try them out. :) I wish I could have more time and doing more progress here, so I can go to Singapore again, but for holiday this time. :)
