If anyone of you who are regular customers of Marche and V’ilage, you will have missed any of them at your favorite place, as some already seized operation. Now, with a similar concept, but different category of foods and drinks, Shokudo Japanese Food Bazaar is here for you in Raffles City shopping center, exactly at the new Basement area, right at the end of it.

It has been there for 3-4 months now, and for the first months, the queue during dinner, especially on Friday night, is super duper long. We’ve been through that. If you want it convenient, you shall come earlier than 7, or later than 9.

The first time we tried was on one of my farewell dinner with some Indonesian group of friends, after which followed by a clubbing session at The Arena. Although not everyone able to join, but it was nice to have some of you there.

This place is quite packed and a noisier surrounding. For peak hours, you might have to queue for about 1 hour to get to your appointed seat. When looking at the inside from the outside, it looked crowded and not so spacious, but there were actually plenty of seats inside with partitions.

Food wise, you can try all the Japanese foods here, be it Sashimi, Sushi, Japanese Pizza, Okonomiyaki, Tepanyaki, Udon, Bento, Ramen, Japanese Desserts like mochi, red bean and mango desserts. Plenty Lah! and if you are a fan of Japanese food, you may like it here. It gives you more freedom in choosing the food and all your friends can have their own choice without you all having to argue where to eat. :) How they looked like? Don’t worry, read on more and I shall show you their pictures. :P

Upon entering, you will be given a barcode card which is used for your ordering. And when you are going out, it will be used to calculate the bill. And for reservation of your table, you will be given this piece of wood similar to Chinese chess piece; which to be placed on your table.

Now we are on the food coverage, lets start with the desserts. Ice Red Bean Mochi (order of the name might not be correct), follows by Ice Mango with some sorts of Jelly.

Now we come to the main dishes, starting with the Rice variety, Pan Fried Vegetables, Pizza and Grill Chicken.

Aren’t they delicious? Arrange your time with your friends and head on there for a Friday night dinner or any other night. But just to tell you, there is no phone reservation available in the mean time. So, you can’t skip the queue if it is still long by now. :)

And if you don’t like crowd and feel like having the similar foods in a restaurant concept, you can head on to Shokudo Japanese Pasta and Pizza which is under the same management and similar foods and desserts, only focussing mainly on Pasta and Pizza. Click on the link above to find out more on the foods and the review I have made. :) or Click here.

Have a wonderful weekdays ahead and work hard through this Monday blues, stay focus and think of the rewards that you are going to give yourself at the end of the week if you are able to get through all of these smoothly. :) Cheers..
