Divoom iTour iPop Speakers Review

Divoom, one of the quite new-comer in the speakers industry from Singapore. Well, I would say quite new as the first time I came across it was on an IT fair in Singapore during year 2007 and it is still new in Indonesia market.

Being Singapore’s product, I always give it a try and faith in. Just like how we see Creative Technology grows. And another brand under Powerlogic and Sonic Gear.

So, this time, we are talking about one of Divoom’s new speaker called iTour iPop. It is classified under portable speakers and powered by built in lithium ion battery. It can be charged via USB, or via any USB power adaptor.

With its small size, it does bring good quality of sound and high volume. Amazing I would say, and I gonna get it for myself to be matched with my iPod Nano.

It has a unique design that resembles an UFO when the lower panel is popped out. It can be popped in for storage and carrying. Then when you wanted to play it, you just have to pop the bottom part out again which then reveals the controller and connector.

For connection, it is using mini USB port, which is then to be used to connect it to usb power adaptor or to you PC for charging.

The package in iTour iPop cames with few cables connector for different gadgets and phone. Be it Nokia phone, Sony Ericsson phone, HTC touch or other PDA phone that uses same connector, and especially this new mini audio jack for latest range of phones. These came with a good price for the package. Imagine if you were to get each separately and they might cost you more just for the cable itself.

iPop is so easy to lug around and can be connected to just any phone with the available connectors or to any MP3 players directly via the hidden audio jack.

For the battery life, it can last up to 5 hours of playback and the sound quality is crisp, and it do have some bass power.

For colors, there are quite a few such as Pink, Blue, Red, White and Black. Too bad there arent any Green one for my Nano.

Price wise, it cost around USD 20 or SGD 30. Just a rough estimate as currency exchange applies here.

Afterall, this is a great portable speaker, with great sound quality, great price and great entertainment. Do try it out yourself and give it a round and you shall experience what I experience. :) If you found the sound not as clear, try to play it out for few hours, and it shall be stable. And try to set the volume to medium or 80%. Cheers.

Wondering if I should get this or not. The iMainGO sounds like it’s much better what with its bass capabilities. Anyway – I found the NeekSpeaker and it’s really similar to this Divoom speaker. Identical.

Well, I think it is much similar to the Divoom iTour-10 and not this iPop.

There are so many similar products to Divoom iTour-10, and I still not sure who got the patent though. :) But this iPop is definitely much better.

I got my iPop as a freebie with an LG phone. I use it with my Palm Treo and love it. Also, as speaker for my laptop. Far superior…
