Gery Romeo & Juliet - a pair of wafer chocolate with same taste, but different packaging. Just a marketing icon. Really love their advertisement about a guy and a girl went to a supermarket to buy groceries. Meanwhile Gery Romeo and Juliet were being in their romantic romeo and juliet time, the guy and girl walk by to take each up. So, they got separated. But, sooner later, the guy and girl bang into each other and then Gery Romeo & Juliet got into the same basket and they get back together happily ever after till we eat them. :p
Anyway, without saying much, check them out here…
And this is how it looked like inside. Still can’t beat Top and Beng Beng though. But they does really look nice in the packaging and advertisement.

Anyway, I am sharing with you all another great snack from Pekanbaru, Indonesia. This snack is available Indonesia-wide, but this one is special and cost 4x the normal cost. Maybe in Singapore and Malaysia, most of us have known Martabak which is sold at most Mamak stall that is made from egg with sardine or meat. But for that type, we called it Martabak Kubang. Only it is added on with some vegetables, and some light vinegar gravy.
As for this martabak, it is different. It is Martabak Bandung. The additional name after Martabak is the name of the town of its origin. There are many ingredients you can choose from, that are peanut, chocolate, cheese, durian, pineapple paste, or any combination of that.
