Hi folks, I am back to online world. It means I am back to Singapore and back to my daily routine of working and exercise. But, I came back with a change. A slight change and a total new experience during Chinese New Year.

The journey back was smooth, untill half way from JB, we got bad news from Indonesia. There were no electricity through out the town due to some electrical poles being stolen. This is terrible and out of expectation. So, each section of town will have only 2-4 hours of electricity supply every day. The rest of the hours will be darkness all over.

So, what a Chinese New Year without lighting and Chinese New Year songs? Totally no feel. This is what I met during the first day. Everyone prepared to purchase a gasoline or diesel generator. Luckily my dad has prepared it just when I reached. So, our gathering dinner was not filled with darkness.

Due to limitations, the generators could last for 4 hours and required inspections every 4 hours and a rest. Due to this, we had to switch it off when we were about to sleep. So, I had to sleep on the floor, half naked, without fan or even air conditioning. Its really painful for the backs and hot.

The morning on the first day of CNY, there were no electricity yet, and we switched on the generator a little bit later when the guests and family were about to come. The thing is, I woke up in darkness, listen to no Chinese New Year songs, and what I could hear was the Sunday class sounds on the Mosque behind.

Totally different from previous CNY where there will be CNY songs played, phone rings and phone calls were made to everywhere. This year is just so…. quiet.

So, the electricity was told to be restored only after 1 week. Luckily, on the third or fourth day of CNY, the electricity was restored back. And I could sleep peacefully with air con and on the bed of course. And its too late, as everyone was already back to work.

This year round, I only went out with friends on the first and second day. The third day everyone were back to their activities. Friends were lesser this year too. Lesser house that we have visited as well. And lesser visitors.

Every year, we celebrate Chinese New Year and every year there is a difference. Things changes, people changes, economy changes, and everything were affected through the changes. But, we shall be glad that we can still celebrate the Chinese New Year with joy and happiness. In which we shall wish that every year will be better for us and everyone. Hope to improve much better after a new year has come.

As usual, on the fifth and sixth day of CNY, there will be events on the temple in my hometown. It was not that great as before, as people earned less this year, meaning lesser sponsors and lesser money to organize a big event. This year around there were no lucky draws, no overseas singers and dancers. But, we have to be thankful that we can still have some entertainment.

Apart from these experiences, there was one thing that strikes me. I am attached again. Attached with someone whom I have known for quite sometimes, and hoping that we could be more than friends. And yes, we are more than friends now. Hope this relationship could last and we have chances to know each other more. It has become a long distance relationship due to different place of careers. Hope all the fears do not come true and we could get over it.

Its hard to start loving, and get separated quite a distance the moment it is getting serious. I just gotta pray more and learn to help myself to help each other to go through this. My heart has melted I could say. Its been awhile now. Its time to start all over again. Just like the video clips from Mayday that is shared by Mossie: 我又初戀了 (I am in first love again)

I kept on listening to this song over and over again. Its a nice song. Too bad she doesn’t have an internet connection at home, else I could share this with her. :)

Okay, enough about love. Lets get back to normal activities, prepare for certification, step up, and get fitter. Happy Chinese New Year again. This year, lets make it a better year for everyone. May all of us blessed with health, happiness and wealth. Kiong Hee Huat Chaiiii…

Hi folks! Finally remember to take some pictures of my newly rented room. Quite spacious for myself, and its nice, apart from my frequent nightmare which I don’t know why.

If I were to say I am superstitious, this could be due to the bad feng shui my bed is having. The top is facing window, while the bottom is facing the door. Can’t move it anywhere else, unless I move the big wardrobe to the current bed position and the bed is replaced there. Well, hope it has nothing to do with it.

Colorful ain’t it? Its the kid’s room previously. Notice some decoration still there on the wardrobe.

Things have been going fine, and I shall get things move on more nowadays.

Well, this post is taken from my old post which is no longer in this blog. I have written about my life in Malacca in the early stage during 1998. It was the best moment in my life that changed a lot. Sorry if the English is abit out as this is written sometime back. Will continue this post in the coming few days when I have time. Life been pretty busy lately and I don’t even have time to upload pictures taken from Chinese Garden on the Hazy Mid Autumn Festival night.

Lets get it started here.

So, my first time stepping my foot in Malaysia was in 1998. After my form 3 (SMP 3), I planned to go to Jakarta to further my studies, but since there was riot happening there, my dad planned to send me to Malaysia. At first I said I dun want to study here as I don’t really like the malay language (seems weird). But then, my dad brought me for a holiday to Malacca and let me see how it looks like here. At first, I was staying in some relatives house somewhere in the village area. So, I kinda not like the place. But then, after coming into the town and went around, I kinda like the place. So, the second time I came to Malacca, we stayed in hotel and hang out more in the town and I feel much better and like it more. haha So, I ended up registering in a private school called Methodist High School located behind Anglo Chinese School (exactly at the Heeren Street or Jalan Tengkera in malay). hehe The principal tested my english and he said my english still sucks and I have to step down to form 2. What the heck. hahaha So, I just accept it and went back to Indonesia to apply for special visa and stayed in an apartment near the school. I had housemates from Jakarta whom are still as pure as me at the first time. haha Good for us.

So, our dad accompanied us since the first day of school till the end of the 1st week or maybe 2nd week. hehe I can’t really remember. Of course because they were worried that we can’t mix around and get used to the surroundings. But luckily, we all can get used to it. We came late for class on our first day of school and luckily not being punished. hahaha So, the school seems to have little foreign students and I do found one or two Indonesians studying there also. Get to know them and soon the number of Indonesian students are increasing like hell. It can reach up to 50 students by few months. And so we have good time having fun amongs we Indonesians and know each other who came from different places. The most is from Pekanbaru.

So, let me tell you how we spend our days and weekend. It will be very boring to everyone I guess. Everyday, we woke up at 6 and do some light exercise, cook noodle or prepare anything for breakfast, take bath, get dressed neatly and go for school. We have lunch at school and by the time school is over, we do some light exercise again at home. Then wait for our dinner to come as we ordered for food delivery on weekdays. After dinner, washed everything, start do homework if got any, if not, chatting with each other. Then sleep early around 9 or 10 the latest and woke up again at 6 in the morning. So, on Friday, the school will always dismished early around 11 o’clock and after that, we will go to “San Jiao Lu” (a hawker center at the road side) to have our lunch. It will took us around 15 minutes to reach there by walking. Then after lunch, we will stop by the Popular book store and read some books, go to Fajar shop for some fruit or food stock and played some arcade game and then back to home. By the time we reach home, it will be around 3 in the evening and we will probably sleep for awhile or sit down on the floor and chat. There goes our Friday and on Saturday and Sunday, we will probably stayed at home, do some cleaning, played basketball inside the house, chat again and again and do homework.

We don’t have any TV, radio or any entertainment source at home. So, we just have those routines all the time. hahaha Very boring right? hehe We sometimes goes to Mahkota Parade (the biggest shopping center that time). But, we never have lunch or even dinner there. RM 10 for lunch will be a big amount for us. ahahha Our lunch normally will cost only RM 2 and maximum will be RM 3 inclusive of drinks. hahaha That goes on for the first two to three months. hahaha

So, I started studying in Methodist High School from June 1998 to December 1998 and then I moved to Malacca International School. So, my last two to three months in MHS has become more interesting after knewing some new friends from Indonesia and started to hang out with them every weekend. So, our weekend no longer be staying at home and chat or cleaning up. haha But we do so sometimes as we really consider the money. The exchange rate at that time was like RM 1 for Rp. 4200,- compare to now which is only Rp. 2300,- and compare to the first time I step my foot in Malaysia which is ONLY Rp. 900,-. So, you can see how bad our economic situation in 1998. hahaha So, we do really consider in spending the money. For example, our friends are having lunch at Kenny Rogers which will cost around RM 10 and above. We do hold it and goes for Deli Burger from KFC which only cost RM 1.65 instead. heheh See how good we are in saving the money. hahhaa Too bad for now. Damn…. haha

So, thats my early life in Malaysia, exactly in Malacca - the historic city. heheheheh We eat for RM 2, goes to school and lepak by walking and take bus for a longer distance and sometimes even walked. hahaha To be continued…….

So that’s all folks for now, will come up with the continue story and if I have time, I will do fix this post a little bit. hehehe
