One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.

Then, to everyone’s amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer’s neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.

Each of our troubles is a stepping-stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply and without fear.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

Somewhere between the procrastination and the homework
And the incessant forwards
And the friendships and the calls
To each other complaining about Crushes and
BF/ GF!! Somewhere between the phone calls to old
Friends and the “I miss you’s”, the “I love you’s” and
The “What are we doing tonight’s?” And somewhere
Between all of the changing and growing
Somewhere between the classes and the skipping
Classes… and the studying for tests… and the
PRETENDING to “study” for tests…
And the downright NOT STUDYING for tests…
I forgot, I forgot what School was all about.

Which one will you choose?

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track. The train came, and you were just beside
the track interchange. You could make the train change its course to the disused track and saved most of the kids.

However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed.Or would you rather let the train go its way?

Perempuan datang atas nama cinta
Bunda pergi karena cinta
Digenangi air racun jingga adalah wajahmu
Seperti bulan lelap tidur dihatimu
Bukan untuknya
Bukan untuk siapa
Tapi untukku
Karena aku ingin kamu
Itu saja

Got this from a friend’s blog - Taledot a.k.a. Linda.
This poem was featured in the movie called “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta” - in English is “What is wrong with Love”. A very nice movie indeed and it is the first movie with a kissing scene ever done in Indonesia. I remembered that they came to Malaysia for the launching of the movie in GSC Mid Valley some time 2-3 years ago.

The Most Powerful Word

Well, SHIT…
SHIT may just be the most powerful word in the
English language.

You can be SHIT faced,
SHIT out of luck,
or have SHIT for brains.

With a little effort,
you can get your SHIT together,
find a place for your SHIT
or decide to SHIT or get off the pot.
