Macbook White, the New 13.3″ LED Backlit Widescreen Notebook. That’s the brand new Macbook White which is the affordable Macbook from Apple.

New iLife, new Mac OS Snow Leopard, and Advanced NVidia Integrated Graphics. Good Bye to Intel GMA graphics. We need more power here. My old Macbook can’t stand editing 4m x 1m banner on 200 Resolutions per pixels.

Longer Lasting battery and its embedded inside the case.

Thinner on the edges and curvier. Check out the Quick Specs which I got.

And lets start with the unboxing. Opening the cover, reveals the macbook straight, covered nicely. And the power cables on the left box.

Below the Macbook, there lies the User Guides, DVDs, Stickers, and the new MagSafe Power Adaptor.

The new MagSafe Power Adaptor. More solid and not easily broken.

Next we look at the box containing the DVDs and others… One of it is the user guide.

Apple logo sticker, Snow Leopard DVD

and Application DVDs

The power cord for extension

The power head for direct connection to the adaptor

The base of this new White Macbook is fully rubberized and covered with screws on every corner. RAM upgrades, Battery changing will be a tedious job from now on.

Close up of the Apple Logo at the rubber based.

A shot of the corner. Curvier and nicer.

The upper corner, now the lid seems thinner

The right side is just like the past with the DVD-RW drive.

On the left, we got the Power Adaptor connector, Ethernet Port, The new Mini Display Port, 2 USB 2.0 Ports, Headphone Jack, Kensington Lock, And the battery indicator after that.

The Front Lid

Internally, the whole case is fully White Glossy.

The webcam is still the same…

Left side is the speaker holes or was it an internal microphone, I am not so sure of. Did not check on that though.

The new large glass trackpad. Its bigger, nicer and supports multi-gestures. For those who still don’t know on the multi-gestures, apple has the demo embedded in the touchpad properties.

All glossy surface. Luxury, but heart breaking as it gets scratched easily.

Top view of the whole Macbook, and few other shots from different angles.

So, overall, its a nice upgrade. Way better than my old Macbook. I really need a new Macbook Pro or iMac now. I feel so outdated. My Macbook is 3 years 2 Months Old now. So far I can only feel that the internal fan is already loose, as I can hear the fan moving in uncontrolled manner when the Macbook gets hot.

Its a nice buy for those who have limited budget, but want a Macbook. If you have more money, I would suggest you to get the medium specs Macbook Pro which has LED Lit Keyboard as it will be nicer to work at night, also its specs will be way better.

Cheers. Stay tuned for further gadgets review. So, I really should start saving money for the new Macbook Pro or iMac. Anybody wanna donate?

Its been a Month since these two new models came out in the market, the new Intel Pinetrail platform which features Atom N450 processors on Toshiba NB305 and NB300. Both are on different design now, that NB305 resembles the old NB200 design but improved further and NB300 features the metallic black glossy design with flat keyboard.

Slimmer, nicer LEDs indicator, touchpad more responsive; even when it is charging. This is my first conclusion when I laid my hands first on these two new Intel Pinetrail platform from Toshiba. Love the upgrades they did.

These two machines were equipped with Norton Internet Security 2010 and Windows 7 starter. Well, we wish there is Home Premium actually. and the NIS 2010 is trial only just to let you know.

Anyway like the new Red color addition. Its amazingly striking. Still, no HDMIi port and eSata port. Probably these shall come on the later models.

NB300 comes with Black, no texture cover, Glossy Black, and inside of it is full black, except the Power Button which is White LED backlit. As for the Keyboard, it is flat, like Satellite L510-S407 and standard size. So, eventhough its no longer checkered in NB300, it is still comfortable to type on. Still wondering why Toshiba releases this model. Perhaps for more varieties and fulfill some other type of customers requirement.

While NB305 comes with the previous NB200 textured case, and has more range of colors to choose from, black, white, red, blue, and brown. So, pink has been removed here, probably because less people prefer the pink. The Red is the most striking one now, and I guess this one shall become the best seller comparing with the other colors. Indeed, I have been selling only Red colors NB305 since the launching.

If we look instantly, we can’t see much on how thin it has become. Too bad I do not have any NB200 anymore for comparison. But from the feel, Toshiba has designed the new NB305 and NB300 way slimmer towards the edges. So as to resemble the T110 and T130 Series. And the 6 cells battery is now no longer popping out. New battery design that slightly pops up below now, and it levels up the notebook slightly. Not that much as in HP mini 110 which is too leveled up.

After testing them out both, found out the differences in specs that NB300 does not have bluetooth. Really a turned down. For such a nice glossy black and simple design, should have maintain the complete specifications. But too bad. For the Rp. 500.000 different in pricing, I guess NB300 is much worth it if you are not looking for style and towards more professional look. And for its bluetooth, we can’t help it though, since some people might not require bluetooth much in this country. Apart from me, who needs wireless keyboards and mouse over Bluetooth.

So, these are what I can say about Toshiba new range of Pinetrail netbooks to replace the old NB200. Overall, it s great upgrade and improvement. Worth the money. Price wise, it has not changed much. NB305 @ Rp. 5.100.000 and NB200 @ 4.590.000. Worth the quality, design and premium finish.

I’m married now, and brand new life. Perhaps I can find an hour a-day to take care of this blog. And soon, we maybe looking at a new dot com if I were to continue the force. Cheers. Be right Back soon.

Hello friends, sorry for being away for such a long time. Life been really busy on doing business and wedding preparation. I have had lots of gadgets and hardwares to reviews, and it is very hard to allocate a time to do so. At night I am either too tired or have something else to do. But thanks to this Sunday, I am blogging right here in front of my soon to be 3 years old Macbook.

Anyway, today we gonna take a look at not so outdated netbook from Acer, classed under Aspire One Slim 531h. Previously we look at Aspire One Pro 531h, and this time around, we are looking at the slimer version. And there are three colors available, Red, Blue and Black. From what I have got, the Black one has N270 and 3 cells battery, while the Red and Blue has Intel Atom N280 and 6 cells battery.

Specifications wise are remain similar, with 160 GB HDD and 1 GB DDR2 RAM. It also came with built in Bluetooth and Wireless LAN.

And in every new Acer notebooks, there is always multi-gestures touchpad.

Lets check out what we’ve got on the right side of the netbook. Headphone and Microphone Jacks, Two USB Ports, and Power Plug.

Also, an ethernet port at the right corner.

Just look at the curved angles and shape of this new Acer Aspire One Slim 531h. I prefer this over AOD 250. And AO531h Slim is way more professional look.

Look how thin it is, and notice the popped out 6 cells battery? Yeah, you can’t avoid that for small netbook with 6 cells battery. 6 cells would last you about 8-9 hours depending on usage.

Lets move to the left side, we got SD Expansion Slot, which I think it is used to extend your storage, and a Multi Card Reader.

Another USB Ports and a VGA Port on the left corner. All ports were located nicely following the curves of the case.

For this model, the LCD frame is glossy, the front cover is glossy, the side borders were glossy too. And left the inside case that is matte.

On the back, pretty usual, nothing more than different opening for RAMs and HDD.

Just to give a more real look, check out few shots of Acer Aspire One Slim 531h below. All taken from different angles to reveal the best side it has.

The Bluetooth and Wireless button is hidden below and you might not notice if you didn’t flip the netbook upside down.

The Acer’s trademark Crystal Bright Webcam.

The box… Sorry that this one came last, as some might not be interested much in the box.

The full specifications of Acer Aspire One Slim 531h

And last, the close up shots of the keyboard. It is soft, nice to type one, but just quite small and need some getting used to.

So, that’s all I can share with you on this Acer Aspire One 531h Slim. I have the Blue color with me soon, and I might update this post with a shot of it just for your own choice if you are interested. Currently, all these models were sold out and they have been my best seller too.

Why get this? Small, light, great design, standard specs with most that you will need in a netbook, convenient and lastly, it is affordably cheap. So, for Acer, you get a pretty decent, simple and just nice netbook for your everyday use while on the go. Many people bought this mainly of its price and its new design that stand out and different.

The rest is up to you to judge. Be back with more reviews….

Brother MFC-6490CW World’s First A3 Multi Function Inkjet Printer Review.

Yeah, as you can read from the title, World’s First A3 Multi Function Inkjet printer. Its amazing to be able to get all functions in one machine, print, scan, copy, fax, pc fax that supports A3 paper size. I do warn you first, this post contains lots of pictures and if you are on low bandwidth internet access, take this in mind.

Take a look at my Mighty Mouse sitting on top of this Great machine.

Lets start with this Auto Document Feeder tray on top, adjustable and supports A3 paper size of course.

Also, check out this control panel with all sorts of useful buttons and they are all easy to recognize and control.

On the left side, there goes the numeric pad, Fax controls and phonebook memory buttons.

In the middle, between two control panels, there goes the large colour LCD screen for pictures editing, menu display and all the controls were reflected here.

Now, this is the cartridge holder, with door of course. This is special in Brother’s range of printers, as all their cartridges were located in front, and can be opened and replace even without turning on the printer.

below the control panels, we have Memory Cards reader which supports SD card, MicroStick, and XD.

Also, not forgetting CF card slot for professional photographers out there. So, you see, this A3 multifunction printer from Brother is really great machine for professionals in need.

And also, a USB port for Digital Camera direct printing.

Here is a shot showing the two available paper trays, for you to differentiate the paper type you are going to use, so that you don’t have to change paper in the tray very often.

On the back, available connectors are Power Cable, Modem/Phone jack for Fax.

And for the front paper loading mechanism, there is always a back door to remove jammed paper.

And this is the flatbed scanner, supports up to A3 paper size. First time seeing such a big flatbed scanner

For the connectivity, you have to open up the printer’s middle part, and you will be shown the USB and Ethernet port, each for the connectivity. Ethernet for the Network attachment, and USB for direct PC connection. MFC-6490CW also has the Wireless connectivity which is set on the control panel itself.

Curious how Brother’s printer moves their print head and how they get through the ink while the cartridge stays in front? They use a piping technique, and the head is totally sealed and secured to prevent drying out of ink.

More shots from different angles. The LCD panel is adjustable for easier viewing pleasure.

The buttons are rubbery feel and some has Lighting.

Sample screen display…

With the CISS (infus) installed. Look at thattt….. how amazing the CISS cartridge is. Designed specially for Brother, complete with the Door’s holder.

And just for another size realization, I have put a new Acer Aspire One 531h Slim on top of it.

And the most important thing in Brother’s rule of Cartridge, always re-insert the cartridge’s hole holder whenever you are transporting your printer or not going to use it for long time. It prevents the ink from spilling out and also air to enter the print head. Correct me if I am wrong.

And lastly, a print out test using Canon Ixus 65 direct print via USB, and ink using the CISS.

The paper type used is Inkjet Paper 110g. For 230g paper, try to use the second tray, and if thicker, it might not be able to pull the paper up.

So, overall, this is a 100% must get A3 Multifunction printer. The first in the world and with good value. Sold about USD 470 in Indonesia, and prices may varies by countries. Suitable for professional photographer, designer, artist, architect, printing shop and perhaps for your office or home? Why not!

With high quality ink from Brother, if you can sustain the original ink cost, you can produce perfect colour and quality print out. And, for all the available connectivity options and the input source, Brother MFC-6490CW is the most complete one you can have. All in One place, that you no longer need to purchase different machines for different purpose. All Rounder with a good price is always the best choice. Good luck and “Brother at Your Side” always.

As promised, we are going to be regulars again, and trying our best to bring every review on gadgets and the rest of our favorites. This time, we are looking at a tablet netbook from Zyrex, the Number 1 Indonesian PC. Its called the Waka Mini 963, featuring a 8.9″ Touch Screen LCD, and 180 degrees rotatable LCD.

The Waka Mini 963 came in Grey and White combination of colors.

The screen is nice, but when talking about 8.9″ netbook’s keyboard size, they are off smaller than what we can stand. But hey, its small, so there is a trade off. Just have to get used to the size and finger positioning.

Lets take a look at the right of the Waka Mini 963, it has the Microphone and Headphone jacks, ventilation holes, a USB port and the Ethernet Port.

And we move to the back, there is the Power jack.

To the other side of the back, we get Kensington Lock’s slot.

And now, we moved to the left side, which has VGA port, Another USB port, Memory Card Slot and the Power slider button.

On the Waka Mini 963’s cover, we can see there are Three LEDs for us to identify the status, such as the Power LED, Battery Indicator and the Wireless indicator.

And on the inside, at the left panel of the LCD, we have the three LEDs again, and additional few like Caps Lock LED, Num Lock LED, and the Harddisk Activity Indicator. Also there is this Home Button, which I think its for the quick internet access to the Home Page.

The touchpad and the click buttons are pretty nice. The buttons are soft and easy to press on.

Speakers are on the LCD panel’s bottom.

Webcam is as usual in the middle top of the LCD panel. And its 180 degrees rotatable. Nice isn’t it?

So, how nice it is more? The LCD touch screen is rotatable 180 degrees counter clock wise. It is to adjust to your usage mode, either the normal netbook, or to the tablet’s mode.

Okay, this is the table mode, when I turned the LCD 180 degrees off and flip it off towards the keyboard.

And it has sensors to adjust to your LCD position. Position it vertically, the screen moves according to it. And switch back to horizontal, the screen moves again. So, any side you can use.

What can a touchy tablet be without a stylus. So, Zyrex has provided us with a stylus which is slotted in towards the side of the netbook. Its also big enough for our hand, so comfort is number 1.

How it feels using the stylus on the touch screen? It feels like I am using a 8.9″ PDA.

Here is a closer look at the 180 rotatable LCD’s core.

Want to see how the keyboard size against ur fingers? Look, pretty small right? Still usable though, just have to get used to.

Another thing, there is internal microphone on the front left corner of the Waka Mini 963.

And lastly, here is size reference against my hand. Just for rough idea on how big it is.

Finally, check out the full specs here:

Okay, its been sometimes now. Lets get back to some gadgets review. We are back with a nice multi function printer which we have tested and researched a lot on its own features and pros. So, when we are talking about Multi Function Inkjet Printer, we shall take a look at Brother’s range. They are all great and comes with complete functions. Lets start it up from the first standard model – the DCP 145C

This is the cheapest model amongst the DCP brothers like 165c and 185c.

One thing good about Brother’s inkjet printer is that their cartridge is located at the front side, with a door opening. And it is not moving together with the print head. That means, you can take out the cartridge even when the printer is not switched ON. From the diagram of the machine, we can see that the print head is connected through a pipe that transfers the ink from the cartridge’s holder.

And what’s more? It has the paper input tray that can fit up to 100 pcs of paper, up to Legal size.

As for the functionality, its pretty straight forward and easy to learn. For copying, the Color and Mono button is to trigger the copier, depending on the output you wanted. There is a photo capture button which is then looking for a media and files on the USB port that is available. It will then be able to print the source files directly. Not forgetting the Scan button which will scan the documents directly to your Computer and will trigger the scan program on the computer at the same time.

As for the Copier’s options, you have many functions like Enlarge or Reduce the size of the copy output, The copy quality from low to best, and specify a number of copies. As for the “Copy Options” button, it lets you specify the paper type and the rest of the settings.

The Flatbed scanner is pretty straight forward, just like any other MFC printers.

When you open up the top cover, you will then be able to see the place where the print head moves, the absorber, and the most unique feature is the USB port which is located inside. So, notice this, the USB port is for the connection to your computer. The cable will be aligned according to the spaces provided and out from the back of the printer. Very neat.

The Ink Absorber…

This is the cartridge slot. Notice the big green piece of plastic? It is used to secure the pins prior to use or for future need when you are planning not to use the printer for a very long time. This is to maintain the print head from drying out.

And this is the USB port to connect to your USB media, be it your digital camera or USB Flash Disk.

Sharing you the closer look at the front side, with the cartridge’s door closed and paper out tray is open. The Paper is coming out from the middle.

To have a better image on how big the printer is, this is a shot to share with my hand holding it. It might not be the perfect measurement, but that is what I can think of during the photo take.

Above is the back of the printer with an opening to take out any jammed paper in the future. Notice the mechanism of the paper’s movement? Just like how laserjet printer’s mechanism.

And next is the paper’s tray, which can be resized according to your paper’s size. Notice all the sliders level on every side.

And finally, what can be greater for such printer? Cost right? Everyone will always think of the cost of operation before deciding whether to take up on this great printer. Of course we have the solution for it. The Continuous Ink Supply System. Yeah… That’s it. Thanks to the China’s manufacturers who invented such a nice CISS cartridge. Each cartridge can have up to 70ml of Ink, easily refilled from the front cap.

Overall, these are already some of the good things about Brother’s MFC printers. And having their cartridge chip-less, you do not have to worry about resetter software or whatsoever unsolvable error. All are easily controlled via their menu. Cheers. Stay tuned for more reviews from us.

Hi guys, sorry for being idle for sometimes and as usual, procrastination is so hard to fight off and motivation is always low. I need some partner in some activities to stay motivated.

Its raining here on a Sunday evening, nothing to do, no customers as it is raining, and I am going to enjoy my Sunday evening soon. Just to share some oriental foods, or more appropriate to be our daily foods craving.

That is Kopi O and Cak Kwe which are good companion and had almost every other morning we spent on kopitiam (coffee shop).

And this is Satay Padang, consists of BBQ Beef and Chicken (my favorite), lontong (rice cubes), and topped with Flour gravy. Awesome.

And lastly, lets check this out…

Lontong Pecal and Teh Telur. To be more comprehensive, its rice cubes with noodles, peanut gravy, Jackfruit flesh’s curry, and topped with Crackers. And the tea is a hot tea mixed with blended egg white, plus milo and sugar. Taste wise? They are both great. You should probably try this if you come to Indonesia.

Okay, that’s for now, hope I have the time and the mood to come back with more gadgets review. I have gathered a few now, and are shooting them up soon. Stay tuned.

Happy Holiday people. Although I am still working here on the last day before holiday. Its just a peaceful day, everyone is busy buying cookies, drinks, clothes, and all necessities for their Hari Raya which falls Tomorrow. No computers needed though. hahah

So, I’ve got these few shots from Hawaii Cafe while in Pekanbaru sometimes back which I’ve not blogged about. Its a nice relaxing place, with lots of nice ice creams to choose from. I love the interior setup. So, to bring on the holiday mood, lets just enjoy these pictures. Hope you all enjoy it. And I am gonna enjoy myself later on in the evening.

This is one hell good drink. Great fruity ice blended. Very refreshing on a hot day, plus the comfy chairs and cooling air conditioning

And this is my favorite ice cream, with many flavors plus wafers and the cherry.

Few more shots from different angles…

And here is a banana split. Kinda nice too. But just common.

And to end a sweet indulgence, AQUA mineral water to clear your throat.
