Two nights ago, I had a chance to secure my hand to the satellite TV’s remote control, and so I browse freely for any favorite TV channels and programs. It was after 22.30 GMT +7 when my parents went to sleep. Finding nothing interesting amongst Indonesia’s channels that night, I shift to Channel News Asia. The only Singapore channel that I can get here in Indonesia.

I watch it every morning though for the latest news and the currency rates. On that night, Yours Truly Asia was on the program and I enjoyed watching it in English. Yes. Back here, the most you will watch and listen on Television is Indonesian Language, and the other time will be Hokkien and Mandarin on Taiwan channels.

Right when watching Channel News Asia, I take my chance to imagine my previous lifestyle and fun while in Singapore. Really miss those times and all of all, I miss working out and living healthy. Yeah, I miss Fitness First, I miss Body Combat and having fellow friends motivating each other to exercise more.

With all these dreaming, I dreamt of Singapore and meeting my fellow Body Combat friends last night. :) I was riding bicycle along Orchard Road, and at the traffic light, I met a combat friend riding motorcycle and behind us was a bus full with the other body combat friends who have just came back from some sorts of Competition. Weird huh?

Nah.. just a dream cache. I really miss doing Body Combat or at least working out intensively. Damn all these spare tyres which are getting bigger. Well, its lazy Sunday and at least now for every Friday and Sunday morning, I went for one hour morning walk with my Dad. But that won’t help me much in losing weight. That can help me maintain a healthy condition and slow down the fat addition. Motivation.. I need motivation.

Yeah.. finally I am back to the gym. Although it is not as fun looking and motivational looking as Fitness First Singapore. I shall get used to the limited facility here and tweak the exercise based on what is available and easily accessible.

Not many machines available here, and the bigger focus is on the free weight area. Lots of benches for bench press and lots of weights available. No air conditioning though (although there are air-conditioner installed, but they are never on). A little stuffy inside, and can be crowded after 5.00 pm.

I paid for 1st month, starting 1st August 2008. On the first day, I purposely came earlier, around 3.00pm to avoid crowds. So, first, I started on the treadmill for warm up. After standing there for few seconds, couldn’t figure out how to start that damn treadmill. Different system, different working mechanism. So, I try to press on the start button over and over, and no response. Finally came one regular, or was it the personal trainer, take the magnetic latch that is hanging on the treadmill’s handle and stick it to the allocated space. And the Treadmill is power up, press the start button and you are ready to go. The thing is, the speed is different as well. Just gotta adjust to it more. :)

After 5 minutes warming up on treadmill, move on to the weight machines. The weights are different as well. Mostly they are about increase weight of 10 KG per weight block. Absolutely no indication of the weight. Got advised by the trainer to start low at 3 weights (about 15 KG I think). After few machines, I ran out of idea what I am going to work on next.

My favorite machines were just not available. So, I try pull up, and couldn’t even carry myself up now. No more strength obviously. Gotta work harder now. Then finally I move on to the free weights area to do some biceps curl and tricep workout.

Didn’t spent long enough on the first day though, not really comfy with the people. I spent about 50 minutes only on my first day. Shall do squats the next time I go. Gotta bring out my books for references now. :) Its fun to be back to the gym again. Now, my chest and the shoulder joints are in pain already. Plus, sorethroat and body heat. Haihh… no idea what went wrong. Perhaps the day is just too hot today. Gotta go back to the gym again on Sunday, or Monday again. :)

And I shall never leave Body Combat as well. Will try to do it minimum twice a week. Plus few days doing jogging only. What a plan. But lets make it real!!! :)

Howdy!! Been pretty busy lately with gym and work. For this week, did continuous Body Combat from Monday to Wednesday. Luckily I skipped the earlier Sunday’s class, else it will be 5 days continuous of body combat from Saturday to Wednesday.

Tuesday’s Labour Day special class: Body Combat Blast! was a superb class ever. 90 minutes of non-stop body combat drained me off totally. I was sweating like it’s raining. My tee and shorts were totally soaked with sweat and the sweats were drippiing all over the floor where I am standing at. How great this feeling is. I used to have it like this only when I was still in high school playing basketball with friends on sunny Sunday morning at school.

And yeahhh! I have upgraded my gym membership into Passport membership. I am able to access any Fitness First gym nationwide, or even worldwide now. :) Great isn’t it? I could have more Body Combat classes, can try out more ranges of workout classes like Aqua fit and even start swimming again. I hope its gonna be fun and real.

As for work, it is getting more stable nowadays after series of holidays have passed. I hope it is getting better and great for me to learn. Awaiting for my PR application result. Its almost 2 weeks since I applied.

Been needing Black Coffee every morning nowadays, due to lack of sleep and sometimes improper sleep with lots of distractions and nightmares. I wonder what went wrong. Maybe I need sometime to calm my self down before sleep.

Ciaoz..

TGIF people! Its TGIF!!! The awaited time every week.

This weekend gotta start up the CCNA self preparation and hope I could finish it up by end of April.

As always, busy busy busy on Monday - Wednesday and lesser work on Thursday and Friday. But on Thursday and Friday will still be busy dealing with the unfinished jobs from Monday-Wednesday. So terrible.

So, what’s for the weekend? Nothing much. Normal activities like Body Combat will still be going on. Body Combat 31 really roxx at the last few tracks. Love the evasive sidekick + jumping front kick combo, and also Back in The UK tracks. That gives you full force on your body.

Yesterday nite, went to try out Nike+ at Fitness First Paragon. The shoe roxxxx!!! It is light and comfy. Plus the feature of its synchronization with iPod Nano informing the distance, pace, and duration of your run. Also, there is a power button, at which when you press and hold on the nano’s middle button, it will play the power song of your choice to give you more motivation when you felt tired. Another feature is when you press on the middle button of the nano once, it will inform you of the current duration of workout. Really fun trying that out. Planning to get that for my gym sneakers as well as to use it for body combat. With its wide sole, it is possible for cross training use I guess.

The shoe that is on try out is Air Zoom Moire+. See pic below. Nice ain’t it? Oh ya, additional credits for it, the shoe was seen in the Body Combat 31 poster.

It will be out in Singapore’s market on 1st April 2007. So, check out your nearest Nike Store for the new range of Nike+ shoes.

Thank God Its Friday. As usual, sunny in the moning, raining or cloudy in the evening. Thats nice. :p But please don’t rain at night. hehe

What a Friday. Weeks passed so fast everytime you reached Friday. Its so fun that you actually slowing down your pace. Well, tomorrow there will be INTI Alumni Gathering at Danga Bay, JB. Hope this event turns out fine and fun.

Oh ya, talking about gym. This week the gym plan messed up a little resulted from me skipping the gym the other day and went for dinner at KFC. Lesser calories burnt this week.

By the way, yesternite tried out new machine - The Cardio Wave at Cathay Fitness First. Cardio Wave is a new cardio machine from TechnoGym that helps you exercise overall of your lower body. It is so effective that you can feel the strain on your leg muscles after you finished with it.

Source: Fitness First Singapore (www.fitnessfirst.com.sg)

Quoted from TechnoGym:

Cardio Wave

The only cardiovascular equipment for working out in several levels simultaneously, for new, effective and fun training.

The Cardio Wave workout focuses on leg muscles and buttocks, without placing stress on the joints. Calorie consumption and toning with Cardio Wave are unequalled in the sector. The machine’s special design means it can be used in a number of positions, making exercise fun and suitable for everyone.

Benefits

Reduces fatty tissue
Tones muscles in the lower body
Works out the cardiovascular system
Improves aerobic capacity

Cun isn’t it? I might try it out more often when I am on cardio workout plan. I sweat more doing this compare to running at treadmill.

Update: Just found out that this particular thing could cost you a fortune to get it for home use. Unbelievable. Be expected to fork out 10 grand USD for this equipment. I think I shall forfeit my wish of getting this equipment for my home use. :p

Have a wonderfull weekend all.
